Abstract

This study aims to determine " The Influence of reward and Punishment On Employee Performance With Work Discipline As An Intervening Variable (Case Study on Employees of PDAM Tirta Silau Piasa Kabupaten Asahan” This type of research is replication. This study used a sample of 68 respondents. Sampling using the Sampling Saturated method. Data analysis in this study using SMART PLS 3.0 software with Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach, was carried out in two stages, namely testing the outer model and inner model. Based on the
results of the analysis of hypothesis 1, it can be concluded that the first hypothesis is rejected, meaning that the variable Reward has no effect on the variable Work Discipline. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis 2, it can be concluded that the second hypothesis is accepted, meaning that the variable Punishment affects the variable Work Disciplin. Based on the results of the
analysis of hypothesis 3, it can be concluded that the third hypothesis is rejected, meaning that the Reward variable has no effect on the Employee Performance variable. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis 4, it can be concluded
that the fourth hypothesis is rejected, meaning that the Punishment variable has no effect on the Employee Performance variable. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis 5, it can be concluded that the fifth hypothesis accepted,
meaning that the Work Discipline variable affects the Employee Performance variable. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis 6, it can be concluded that thesixth hypothesis is rejected, meaning that the Work Discipline variable cannot mediate the relationship of Reward to Employee Performance. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis 7, it can be concluded that the seventh
hypothesis is accepted, meaning that the variable Work Discipline can mediate the relationship of to Employee Performance .
