Abstract

In an era of mounting environmental concerns, the adoption of Green HRM practices has garnered significant attention as a catalyst for sustainable organizational growth. This study delves into the intricate relationships that Green HRM practices share with employee engagement, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and environmental performance. Focusing on the agriculture sector employees, this research employs a comprehensive quantitative survey approach to gather data from 355 respondents underpinned by structural equation modeling. The findings offer compelling insights. Green HRM practices substantially impact employee engagement, underscoring the pivotal role that environmentally conscious HRM initiatives play in engaging the workforce. Moreover, the study sheds light on the mechanisms through which Green HRM practices impact the satisfaction and commitment of employees and their organizations, eventually contributing to enhanced environmental performance. In addition, the supportive nature of organizational culture amplifies the positive effects of Green HRM practices on employee engagement, emphasizing the profound influence that an organization's culture wields in shaping the outcomes of Green HRM initiatives. This study offers practical and theoretical implications in the ever-evolving landscape of sustainable HRM practices. It underscores the need for organizations to adopt Green HRM practices strategically, prioritizing employee engagement in the journey toward sustainability. These findings also emphasize the significance of fostering a culture that values sustainability to maximize the impact of Green HRM practices
