Kajian Peran Akademisi dalam Upaya Mensejahterakan Masyarakat Indonesia

The campus is a place for the formation of future national leaders. It has often been said that a campus is a miniature society and that is true. On campus, various people with various backgrounds, races, religions, thoughts, ideologies and interests gather in a system. It's just like in a society. Even though the level of complexity is not as high as in society. The reflection of society in the future can be seen from the condition of the campus. This study is in the form of scientific writing which takes sources from various articles, books and expert opinions which are then arranged and adapted to the themes discussed. It is hoped that it will provide knowledge to the public about the extent of the role of academics in the welfare of society through education, cadre formation and the formation of ready-to-use students in the midst of society according to their scientific fields. The results of this paper explain that the role of academics in efforts to improve the welfare of Indonesian society through the activities of lecturers, students, universities, government and partners (DUDI) supports each other. So motorically the lecturer is the main motor as the driving force. The role of lecturers is in efforts to improve the welfare of society through the implementation of research results and PKM activities, while the role of students is as cadres who are prepared to become the nation's next generation who are professional, have good morals and are able to become leaders of the state and society.
